Disney Cruise - Why I Love It!

If you know me, you know my love for Disney runs deep. From my very first visit to Walt Disney World as a child to countless magical moments with my family over the years, Disney has always held a special place in my heart. I’ve sailed with Disney Cruise Line many times, in different stages of my life, and every single time it’s been an unforgettable adventure. I’ve cruised with my kids when they were little and wide-eyed with wonder, with my daughters now in their 20s, with just my husband for a romantic getaway, and even with my girlfriends for the ultimate girls’ trip. I’ve even taken a Disney Cruise solo—and yes, I’d do it again in a heartbeat!

Something else I love about Disney Cruise Line is what you won’t find onboard. Unlike most other cruise lines, Disney doesn’t have a casino. For me, this helps keep the atmosphere family-friendly, relaxing, and focused on fun experiences rather than gambling.

Disney also doesn’t offer a drink package. Instead, you can buy drinks individually—there are daily drink specials, and you’re always welcome to bring a limited amount of wine or beer onboard to enjoy in your stateroom. I find this keeps the vibe classy and social without the over-the-top party atmosphere you sometimes find on other lines.

Castaway Cay, Disney’s original private island, is pure paradise—a pristine island with beaches for families and a separate, adults-only beach called Serenity Bay. You’ll find complimentary BBQ lunch, bike rentals, water sports, and plenty of shaded spots to relax with a drink in hand.
